Achieving Better Results: How FDN Practitioners Differ from Health Coaches

Twenty years ago, most people had likely never heard of health coaches. But now, in the US, the health coaching industry has grown into a $7 billion industry, with projections for continued growth. Those who pursue training in health coaching have a passion for helping others overcome health struggles and feel good again. Health coaches play a vital role in providing support and accountability for clients as they work to improve their health.

However, health coaching has its limitations. I started as a health coach and found that while I moved the needle for many clients, there were some I struggled to help. I knew I needed to be able to run labs to get to the root of their issues. Some coaches experience success in helping clients overcome mild health issues, but many struggle to achieve the desired results. This often leads them to pursue advanced training and certification in hopes of finally helping people feel their best again. I decided to do just that to help people end the cycle of trial and error by testing and not guessing!

How FDN Practitioners Differ from Health Coaches

Health coaches are a great source of support for their clients. They offer accountability and encouragement, which is perfect for clients transitioning to a healthier diet or new exercise program. However, health coaches often hit a wall when trying to achieve deeper results with their clients.

FDN practitioners can also be a great source of support for clients. But the use of functional lab testing allows them to delve much deeper into what is happening within the different systems of the body. FDN Practitioners interpret these tests differently than doctors. While doctors look for test results that fall within specific reference ranges to diagnose diseases, FDN practitioners don’t diagnose or treat disease. Instead, they look for subtle patterns in the body that indicate imbalances, even if these fall outside the reference ranges used by doctors. These clues help FDN practitioners identify where the body could use natural support to return to balance.

The D.R.E.S.S. for Health Success® Protocol

The D.R.E.S.S. for Health Success protocol uses all-natural lifestyle changes to help clients get results. It is highly customizable for each individual client, using diet, rest, exercise, stress management, and specific supplementation. This protocol helps clients uncover hidden bad habits and sources of stress impacting their health. It's not about managing symptoms but about providing the body with the natural building blocks it needs to support its ability to rebuild health.

The protocol is easily replicable for each client while offering a customized approach to health that suits their specific needs.

Ending the Need to Chase Symptoms

People seek health coaches and other alternative health practitioners because they don’t feel as good as they should. They want to feel better and look for someone who can help. Many have seen their doctor, or even multiple doctors, searching for answers, often being told there is nothing wrong with them according to the test results.

This leads them to spend time and money searching for solutions, typically focusing on symptom relief. Many clients who come to work with an FDN practitioner have already spent thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars, trying to find solutions. They want to feel better but don’t know how to achieve it.

FDN practitioners have a much higher success rate than conventional health coaches. FDN health detectives are trained to look for subtle patterns and imbalances in the body that others miss. They support their clients in making the necessary lifestyle changes that can reverse these imbalances, helping them achieve real results.
